Torell Pump improves condition monitoring services using Leonova Diamond
Flow technology specialists Torell Pump in Stockholm, Sweden is now streamlining its condition monitoring services to customers by investing in the portable instrument Leonova Diamond.
Among other things, the instrument will be used to measure the mechanical condition of screw pump bearings in sewage treatment plants, where the speed of the rotating shaft is about 35-50 RPM. Leonova Diamond offers a complete range of functions for industrial condition monitoring and includes the patented SPM HD measuring technique, particularly well suited for shock pulse monitoring on low RPM equipment.
Roger Kaiser, Aftermarket Sales Manager at Torell Pump, about the company's investment: "We have concluded that this instrument will save us a great deal of time; duties which used to take almost two days can now be squared away in just one or two hours with Leonova Diamond. This means that we can perform more preventive maintenance visits to our customers per week, and there is a great need for this. We also see that we can carry out service visits that we have previously subcontracted. We increase the quality of our service work, and can also obtain documentation on the facilities very easily, something that our customers appreciate."
In addition to the instrument, the deal also includes the diagnostic software Condmaster Ruby, a three-day basic training in condition monitoring and a service contract.
Torell Pump AB markets and sells pumps, compressors and equipment for the purification of municipal and industrial raw water, process water and wastewater. The company caters to a variety of industries, energy, marine operations, sewage treatment plants and waterworks.
